Why Bitcoin

Bitcoin is hard enough to understand. Gifting it while teaching is one of the best ways to help it click.

Bitcoin changes the individual from the inside once they learn it. Bitcoin changes everybody, because nothing changes Bitcoin.

Founders' Club

A one-time pledge.
A full cycle of sats.

Every pledge to the bucka.day Foundation is converted to Bitcoin and held as treasury. From that treasury, the foundation disburses sats on the 21st of every month — to people on the street.

How a pledge works

The foundation does not hold dollars. We hold Bitcoin. When you make a pledge, the dollars you give are converted to sats and join the foundation's treasury.

From that treasury, the foundation disburses a small, dignified amount on the 21st of every month — directly to a recipient on the street, in sats, with their consent and on their own Lightning address.

The treasury grows because Bitcoin grows. The disbursements stay disciplined. That's how a foundation becomes a forever foundation.

We don't just put Bitcoin on the books. Bitcoin is the books. — The bucka.day Foundation

For Pastors and Parishes

Free Bitcoin education
for any house of worship.

No charge. No pitch. No catch.

The Offer

The bucka.day Foundation offers free Bitcoin teaching, consultation, and Q&A to any church, parish, ministry, or faith community that asks. Sessions are led by Certified Bitcoin Professionals volunteering with the foundation.

There is no charge. There is no pitch. There is no catch.

Why

Because the people who already practice stewardship and generosity are exactly the people who should understand sound money.

Because pastors who understand Bitcoin can teach their congregations.

Because when faith communities understand Bitcoin, the gifts they already give become more durable.

For Everyone

Bitcoin works for every profit and every prophet. Every religion, or none. Every human being, every dog, every cat. It's a mathematical protocol — without feelings, without favorites, without exception.

The bucka.day Foundation is happy to come to you — in person where possible, by video where it isn't — and answer any question your community has.

What a Session Can Look Like

  • Pastors and clergy. One-on-one or small group. Bitcoin from first principles, at the pace of curiosity.
  • A full congregation. A Sunday teach-in, an evening session, or a multi-week class. Plain language. No jargon.
  • Boards and finance committees. For communities considering a treasury allocation, sound money education, or stewardship through a long-horizon lens.
  • Outreach ministries. For ministries already working with the unhoused, where dignified Bitcoin gifting can become part of the work.
  • Your idea. If your community has a question, the foundation has time. Tell us what you need.
